Description:

Between 2006 and 2011, Edmond C. Moy was Director of the United States Mint. Today, his handwritten signature is on very special sets of 2006 $1 Silver American Eagle PF70 coins - and, due to a partnership with Moy himself, here is the only place where it is possible to purchase them.
Born in the Michigan-based city Detroit in 1957, Moy grew up in the city of Waukesha in Wisconsin before graduating with an economics, political science and international relations triple major from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979.
Over two decades later, in 2001, he took up a post as Special Assistant to the President for George W. Bush's administration. In 2006, following his nomination by Bush, Moy became the United States Mint's 38th Director. He was in that role when the financial crisis of the late 2000s struck.
That crisis led to an unprecedented demand for bullion silver as people sought to safeguard their wealth against unfavorable effects of inflation. Commemorative coins minted during Moy's time at the Mint's helm include 50 State Quarters, National Parks Quarters and Presidential $1 Coins.
Since leaving the Mint in 2011, Moy has held positions at Fortress Gold Group and L&L Energy, Inc. Regular visitors to the Moneynews.com website may also have seen occasional Moy-penned articles appear on its pages. He is known particularly well as a public speaker, economist and author.
Moy has hand-signed certification labels for Silver American Eagle Proof 70 coins. You can, should we have sufficient stock, order 2006 $1 versions of these coins in sets of 1 coin or even a complete Date Run. This is so-called as it includes one of each version of these Silver American Eagle pieces produced since 1986, making for a complete package for collectors.
We expect that demand for these coins could soon exceed supply as an increasing number of people notice the considerable investment potential with these pieces. One especially good reason not to delay buying one of these sets is that we, Wholesale Coins Direct , are the exclusive seller.
Even setting aside, for the moment, consideration of the coins' high collectability due to their limited availability and the provision of Moy's signature, silver remains a worthwhile buy for investors seeking to add further precious metals to a portfolio. It can be especially appealing to novice investors, as it is commonly available at conveniently lower prices than gold.
The silver in these Ed Moy Signature Series Silver American Eagle coins weighs 1 Troy ounce and has .999 purity. Each coin is $1 in face value and features a design which is now very familiar, as that design has regularly appeared on the Silver American Eagle since the coin was initially minted.
The design includes, on the obverse, a walking figure of Liberty dating back to a drawing by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916. A heraldic eagle features on the reverse, which also portrays a shield and 13 five-pointed stars intended to represent the independent United States' original 13 colonies.
