The obverse (front) of the coin displays an image of an Indian chief adorning a traditional headdress and the year of mintage. The reverse features Bela Lyon Pratt’s “standing eagle” motif, the face value, and “In God We Trust”. Each Quarter Eagle Indian Head is composed on 90% gold and 10% copper and has a face value of $2.50.
Each coin weighs 4.18 grams with a diameter of 18mm and a reeded edge.
