1904 $1 Gold Lewis and Clark Exposition NGC MS67 Description:

In 1904, Congress authorized 250,000 gold dollars to be struck to commemmorate the Northwest Territory discovery by Lewis and Clark.  Charles Barber designed these gold dollars, which were all struck in Philadelphia in 1904 and 1905.  While 25,000 examples dated 1904 were struck, only 10,025 pieces were sold.  This 1904 $1 Gold Lewis and Clark Exposition NGC MS67 has a NGC population of only 21.
