Republic has an interesting history serving on both Union and Confederate forces. After the war, being used as transport, the ship was sunk of the south east coast by a hurricane. Recovered in the early 21st century, this coin has incredible surfaces devoid of chatter and damage from a century and half on the ocean floor.
