Minted from 1849 to 1907, this coin holds a special place as the largest denomination of regular-issue gold coins in the United States. Composed of 90% gold and 10% copper, it has a weight of 33.436 grams and a diameter of 34mm. The obverse side features a stunning depiction of Lady Liberty wearing a crown inscribed with the word "Liberty." She is surrounded by stars representing the states of the Union. On the reverse side, a majestic eagle with outstretched wings is displayed, holding arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing strength and peace. Above the eagle, the motto "In God We Trust" is inscribed, while below it, the denomination "TWENTY DOLLARS" is displayed.
