Description:

Introduced in 1986, The Gold American Eagle coin serves as a tribute to freedom and independence by intricately capturing the beauty of an American Bald Eagle while featuring Lady Liberty. The Gold American Eagle is struck in a variety of denominations ($50, $25, $10, and $5) and can be purchased individually or in proof sets of four. The 1/4 ounce $10 Gold American Eagle is one of the most affordable ways for investors and collectors to add these iconic coins to their portfolio.

Coin-features:

  • Based on the Augustus Saint-Gaudens' 1907 $20 Gold Double Eagle
  • Each coin is 1/4 troy oz of pure gold
  • Coin will arrive in Brilliant Uncirculated condition
  • Eligible for self-directed IRA (additional paperwork required - ask your specialist for details)
  • Official gold bullion product of the United States

The 1907 Augustus Saint-Gaudens' Double Eagle design is the inspiration for the design of the beautiful American Gold Eagle coin. The obverse of the gold coin depicts Lady Liberty victoriously walking with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. An olive branch also appears on the reverse of the coin, grasped in the talons of a male eagle returning to a nest with a female eagle and an eaglet.

The $10 Gold American Eagle contains 0.273 Troy oz of 22-karat gold (1/4 troy oz of pure gold) and is produced by the U.S. Mint. The fractional American Gold Eagle coins, like the 1/2 troy oz, 1/4 troy oz, and 1/10 troy oz are continuously in demand because their lower price point is an attractive way for investors and collectors to include gold in their portfolio.

The production for the Gold American Eagle coins is based upon market demand, meaning production levels vary based on economic factors. The actual year of issue is based upon availability at the time of the order.

The Gold American Eagle coins are not the only option when diversifying your portfolio with gold coins. The Gold American Buffalo, Gold Canadian Maple Leaf, and the Gold Krugerrand are all popular options among investors.
