Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins are one of the world's most recognized silver coins and the first pure silver bullion coin making it desirable to investors and collectors alike. Silver Maple Leaf coins were first minted in 1988 by the Royal Canadian Mint and struck every year since. Each coin contains 1 troy ounce of pure silver and minted in .9999 fine silver.

The obverse of these beautiful coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by radial lines with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "5 DOLLARS", and the year minted. The Canadian Maple Leaf and radial lines are on the reverse of the coin with inscriptions, "CANADA", "FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PURE", and .9999.

Silver Maple Leaf coins can be added to self-directed IRAs and provide investors with the tax benefits associated with an IRA.
