Description:

Two of America's most collected and iconic coins in history in one remarkable Century Set.

  • 1886 $1 Morgan Dollar MS63 Coin
  • 1986 $1 Silver American Eagle MS69 Coin

About the 1886 $1 Morgan Dollar MS63 Coin:
The Morgan dollar was a United States coin minted from 1878 to 1904, and again in 1921. The coin is named after its designer, United States Mint Assistant Engraver, George T. Morgan. The obverse depicts a profile portrait representing Liberty, while the reverse depicts an eagle with wings outstretched. This version of the coin has been graded by NGC in MS63.

About the 1986 $1 Silver American Eagle MS69 Coin:
The American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States. It was first released by the United States Mint on November 24, 1986. It is struck only in the one-troy ounce size, which has a face value of one dollar and is guaranteed to contain one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver. The design on the coin's obverse was taken from the "Walking Liberty" design by Adolph A. Weinman, which originally had been used on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin of the United States from 1916 to 1947. As this iconic design had been a public favorite—and one of the most beloved designs of any United States coinage of modern times, silver or otherwise—it was revived for the Silver Eagle decades later. The obverse is inscribed with the year of minting or issuance, the word LIBERTY, and the phrase IN GOD WE TRUST. This version of the coin is graded by NGC in MS69.

Why should I invest in this set?
Most collectors focus on one or the other series. This Century set contains an 1886 Morgan Silver Dollar in MS63 and a 1986 Silver Eagle in near perfect MS69 condition presented in a beautiful wood display box. 100 years separate these silver dollars and it is easy to see why they are the most collected coins in history.
