Lady Liberty, designed from the classic Greek and Roman image of justice has been adapted to represent liberty and freedom in the United States. The iconic Statue of Liberty stands in New York as a symbol of this. Given to the United States as a gift from France in the 1800's, the Statue of Liberty stands as an embelm of hope, freedom and boundless possibility. 

The obverse of the coin, is a frontal view of the Lady Liberty, as she appears on the Statue of Liberty. Her image was based on that of the Roman Goddess of Freedom, Libertas. The coin's reverse shows an image of Lady Liberty's torch. Representative of a guiding light that she holds for the world to see. 

SilverTowne, located in a small town in Indiana began as a small coin shop in 1949, and is today one of the most dominant facilities in the United States.
